Visualaura Studio (“we”, “us”) designs digital wedding invitations and websites. This policy explains what personal information we collect through visualaurastudio.com and the invitations we host, why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Details you give us — your name, email address and phone/WhatsApp number, and, for your invitation, the names, photos, dates, venues and other event details you share with us.
- Order and payment information — the package and extras you choose, any coupon code, the amount and currency, and the payment status and reference from our payment provider. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
- Account sign-in — if you sign in to “My account” with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
- Technical information — your approximate country, worked out from your IP address, so we can show prices in your currency and count visitors by country. To stop spam and to count each visitor only once a day, we use a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address that is deleted automatically within about two days. We do not store your IP address itself.
2. How we use it
- To design, deliver and host your invitation, and to talk to you about it.
- To take payment and keep records of your order.
- To apply coupon codes fairly — for example, one use per customer.
- To protect our website from spam and abuse.
- To understand, as overall totals, which countries our visitors come from.
- To measure which of our ads bring people to our website and lead to orders — only with your permission where the law requires it (see section 5).
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.
If you are in the UK or the EU: we use your information to carry out our agreement with you (your order), to meet legal obligations such as keeping accounting records, and for our legitimate interest in running and protecting our website. We use advertising cookies only with your consent.
3. Your invitation
Your invitation is published at its own private link on visualaurastudio.com (for example, yournames.visualaurastudio.com). Anyone who has the link can open it, so please share it only with your guests. We ask search engines not to list invitations, and some invitations include an automatic check that keeps out bots. Your invitation stays live up to your wedding day and for 3 months after.
4. Who we share it with
Only with the service providers that help us run Visualaura Studio, and only what they need:
- Payment providers — Razorpay (Indian rupees) and PayPal (US, Australian and Canadian dollars, British pounds and euros) process your payment.
- Google — sign-in to “My account” (if you use it), the fonts on our pages, translation (only if you choose another language) and, if you allow it, advertising measurement through Google Ads and website analytics through Google Analytics (see section 5).
- WhatsApp — if you choose to message us there.
- Our hosting, security and email providers — to host our website and your invitation, store order records, protect the site, and send order emails.
These providers may process information in other countries, including India, the United States and the European Union, under their own privacy and security commitments. We may also share information where the law requires it.
5. Cookies and similar storage
We use:
- Sign-in — a cookie that keeps you signed in to “My account” for up to 30 days, only if you sign in.
- Invitation bot check — on invitations protected by our bot check, a cookie that remembers a guest has passed it, for 12 hours.
- Your choices — if you choose a language or currency, your browser remembers that choice. If you use the translate option, Google Translate sets its own cookie.
- Payment windows — when you open the Razorpay or PayPal checkout, those providers may use their own cookies or storage to process your payment securely.
- Advertising measurement (Google Ads) — cookies set by Google that tell us when someone who clicked one of our ads visits our website or places an order, and the order value. We use this to see which ads work; we don’t use it to show you personalised ads. In the UK, the EU and Switzerland these cookies are only set if you tap “Accept”. Elsewhere they are on by default, and switched off if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. These cookies last up to 90 days.
- Website analytics (Google Analytics) — cookies set by Google that show us, in summary, how visitors use our website: which pages are viewed, for how long, how far visitors get through choosing a plan and paying, and, for visitors who came from one of our ads, which ad. We don’t send Google your name, email address or phone number, we’ve switched off Google’s cross-device and demographic features (Google Signals), and we don’t use it to show you personalised ads. The same choice applies as for advertising measurement: in the UK, the EU and Switzerland these cookies are only set if you tap “Accept”; elsewhere they are on by default and switched off by a Global Privacy Control signal. These cookies last up to 2 years.
You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page, or here: Cookie settings. We remember your choice in your browser’s storage.
6. How long we keep it
- Order and payment records — for as long as we need them for our accounts, and as long as the law requires.
- Your invitation details and photos — for as long as we need them to deliver, host and support your invitation, and after that only as required for our records.
- Spam-protection and visit-counting data — the scrambled IP data is deleted automatically within about two days; visitor statistics are kept only as totals per country per day.
- Google Analytics data — kept by Google for 14 months, then deleted automatically.
7. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing visualaura007@gmail.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are in the UK or the EU, you can also complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Children
Our services are for adults planning their own celebrations and are not directed at children.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top.
